The town of Kalavarda, located on the northwest coast of Rhodes between Kameiros and Fanes will be holding the 5th Garlic Festival on Saturday, June 21, starting at 20:00.

The festival will include traditional music by the renowned Miltiadis Varouchakis.

The agricultural village of Kalavarda is noted for the sunset views from its pebble-and-sand beach, also popular with kitesurfers due to its offshore winds. Along with beach shacks and casual al fresco tavernas, a few simple guesthouses and vacation apartments dot the area. The Valley of the Butterflies nature reserve, the ruins of Ancient Kamiros, and hiking trails on forested Mount Profitis Ilias are all nearby.
