Air Traffic Controllers Action, August 28

The Greek Air Traffic Controllers Association has called on its members to join a four-hour work stoppage on Thursday, August 28, from 09:30 to 13:30. The industrial action is in support of and during a 24-hour strike by ADEDY, the main Greek civil servants’ trade union.

The Air Traffic Controllers’ action will affect all flights in and out of Greece except for emergency, hospital, and military flights during the action.

Although air traffic control across Greece will only be suspended for four hours, there will be a knock-on effect for arrivals and departures during at least the rest of the day.

If you are scheduled to fly in or out of Greece on Thursday, August 28, our advice would be to contact your holiday company or airline for further details.
