Forest Festival, Rhodes

The Monastery of the Transformation of the Saviour, located in Martitsa, Rhodes, will be playing host to ‘The Forest Festival’ on Friday, August 2.

The festival starts at 21:00 and is an evening celebration of nature and music. In a green environment, the festival combines live music performances and cultural events. It is the perfect opportunity to relax, have fun and explore the beauty of the forest at night.

The village of Maritsa is located 15 km south of Rhodes Town and is a popular dining destination, famed for the lively nighttime scene around its village square. Family-friendly meze restaurants and tavernas serve dolmades and fresh fish on leafy terraces, while late-night clubs play rembetiko folk music or modern rock. Nearby, Prophet Elias Monastery has island views, and the former Rhodes Maritsa Airport runway is now used for car and motorbike racing.

Entrance is free.
