Google, the largest search engine, mapping and navigation application has announced that, between February 4 and October 30, 2025, it will be carrying out 3D mapping across Greece in the regions of Attica, Crete, Epirus and Western Macedonia, Macedonia and Thrace, Peloponnese, Western Greece and the Ionian Sea, the Aegean Sea, Thessaly and Central Greece.

Google is undertaking the photo mapping so as to refresh Google Maps, including Street View. Faces and vehicle license plates will be blurred so that they cannot be identified before the mapped area is posted on Google’s website.
