Thursday, April 2 – Greece has been ranked number one by UK travel agents, receiving the accolades of the “Agents’ Favourite Sunshine Getaway Destination ” as well as the “Agents’ Favourite Family Destination” award.

“The Travel Celebration 2026” was held last week in London and was attended by 370 professionals from across the British travel industry.

The Greek awards were received by the Head of the Greek National Tourism Organisation for the United Kingdom and Ireland, Eleni Skarveli.

In the “Favourite Destination for a Sunny Getaway” category, Greece prevailed over top destinations such as Cyprus, Dubai, Jamaica, Mallorca and Tenerife, while in the “Favourite Family Destination” category, it surpassed Abu Dhabi, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Florida and Turkey.
