High Heals Banned!

Visitors to Greece should note that the wearing of high heals when visiting historic monuments is illegal, with contravention of the law carrying fines of up to £771. The Greek government has introduced strict laws over the years to protect the priceless heritage and ancient monuments in the country.

It has been shown that high heels have the potential to cause greater damage than flat soled shoes, so the stylish footwear is banned at many of the country’s ancient sites.

It should also be noted that it is also illegal to take pebbles off a number of popular Greek beaches.
