Jet2, the UK budget flight and holiday company, has confirmed it will introduce flights to Alexander the Great International Airport starting in the Summer of 2027. The airport is situated near the northern Greek city of Kavala and the holiday island of Thassos.

It is planned that there will be four flights per week from the UK starting in May 2027 through to October. Two flights will be from Manchester, one from Birmingham and one from London Stansted Airport per week. There may be a fifth UK flight, but it is yet to be announced.

This new route is anticipated to be their 16th Greek destination, with tickets expected to go on sale early in 2026.

This year, the airline scooped the ‘Best Customer Experience’ award at the prestigious UK Customer Satisfaction Awards, hosted by the Institute of Customer Service.

Jet2 is the UK’s third-largest airline and will compete with TUI on this route.
