Fraport, the German company that operate fourteen of the regional airports in Greece, has announced that “Alexander the Great Airport”, which services the Kavala region and the island of Thassos will be commencing the third stage of the redevelopment of the airport in January 2025.

This means that the airport will be closed to flights from January 10 until the 30th.
