Krinidon Clay Therapy Centre (Thassos)
The totally renovated Krinidon Clay Therapy Centre, located near the town of Krinides, situated 17 km northwest of the mainland city of Kavala, reopened to the public on June 17.
The centre offers a number of natural therapies, including clay therapy, hydrotherapy and massage.
Clay therapy is based on the use of “mature” clay. The application of the clay can be total or partial, by immersing the body in it or by spreading it. The therapeutic effect of clay is twofold: it exerts a local effect (on the surface of the skin) and a general effect (on various functions, thanks to substances that penetrate the body).
Hydrotherapy has a beneficial effect on the skin, as the pores are opened and dead cells are removed. In addition, it offers physical relaxation, creating a beautiful sensation. Hydrotherapy is indicated for rheumatoid arthritis, hip and knee osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatism, musculoskeletal problems, etc.
Massage therapy not only leads to relaxation but is also an alternative solution for pain. Massage techniques contribute to headache relief, improved sleep, stress reduction, improved blood circulation, giving well-being to the human body.
