Santorini taxis are mostly Mercedes, with the average age of each vehicle usually being no more than 5 to 6 years old. They are maintained on a regular and scheduled basis and all vehicles are air conditioned and non-smoking.

All licensed taxis are fitted with metres, but it is always advisable to confirm the price of the journey before starting.

Most drivers speak English.
