Vine Festival, Rhodes
The village of Fanes, located on the northwest coast of the island, 24 km from Rhodes Town, is hosting the 11th Vine Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 7/8, at the old CAIR factory and wine museum. The festival will be a celebration that combines the history, gastronomy and local wine culture.
During the two days, there will be dance groups, wine tasting, the Cair wine bar, traditional food, painting and photography exhibition, as well as activities for children, a winepress and a feast.
A market will offer grape sweet, sourdough bread, pancakes and many vine-based treats. There will be lots of free treats, traditional mustalewria (a cream made from fresh grape juice) and of course plenty of grapes and local wine!
The festival starts at 20:00 each day.
