Microfiber Beach Towels
One consistent image here in Greece during the summer months, is the myriad of multi-coloured towels that hang drying from the hotel and apartment balconies.
Beach towels are an indispensable accessory for a day by the pool or on the beach, but most hotels have a rule that the towels supplied in the room can’t be taken out, so they are one of the items usually found on a holiday packing list.
Now science has now come to the aid of the holidaymaker in the form of towels employing microfiber technology. The main feature of microfiber towels is that they can dry in hot weather in around 30 minutes, meaning that you don’t have to risk putting soaking wet sandy towels in your beach bag with your valuables. It also means that it negates the need to dry them back at your accommodation!
We have assessed the wide range of microfiber towels on the market and these fall into two main categories, the first is the ‘branded’ towels on offer through companies such as Amazon priced at around £10 plus P&P and those being offered directly from China, priced considerably less at around £3 per towel upwards!
We will be assessing the quality of the towels directly from China prior to the 2018 season, but the price difference is significant and the extra benefit of this is that at a cost of around £3, it wouldn’t be a great loss to leave the towels behind after your holiday to lighten your return luggage!
