Major Investment in Disaster Infrastructure
The Greek Government has confirmed that it will be investing over 2 billion euros over the coming years to further strengthen the civil protection infrastrusture across the country.
This comes after wildfires and catastrophic floods linked to climate change have had a major impact on Greece in the last few years. The investment, which will include a sizeable contribution from European Union funds, will also be focusing on protecting the country from other natural disasters such as extreme weather events and earthquakes.
