Greek Airports to be Upgraded
Major upgrades are planned for Greek airport infrastructures and air traffic control systems to address the problems of outdated security and persistent flight delays.
Greece ranks among the top European countries for flight delays, which has damaged the country’s aviation reputation and hindered tourism.
Among the worst airports in the country is Athens International, which will undergo significant redesign and expansion, with plans to boost its passenger capacity from 26 million to 40 million by 2032, as well as significantly improving services.
