Rhodes is becoming one of the busiest tourist ports in the Mediterranean. This April will see twenty-nine cruise ships docking at the port and in May the cruise ship ‘Silver Spirit’, operated by Silversea Cruises, will be making Rhodes its ‘home port’ so that international passengers will fly into Rhodes to board the ship.

Home ports (turnaround ports or hub ports) are the ports where passengers begin or end their cruises. Most commonly, they are both the commencing and the ending point of a cruise itinerary.

At the same time, discussions have started with TUI in Miami, to also make the port of Rhodes a home port for the company.
