Small Tremors Off Thassos

Sunday, March 15 – A tremor of magnitude 2.5 on the Richter scale shook the villages of Potos and Limenaria on Thassos yesterday evening at 17:17 local time, followed by an aftershock of  2.1 at 17:52. The focal depth of the quakes was 10 km, and both were located in the same vicinity, 2 km off the southern coast.

Although the tremors were felt strongly in the south of the island, no damage has been reported, and no further seismic activity has been recorded.
