The Cultural Association of Kamari is presenting an evening of traditional Cretan music on Saturday, June 15.

The event will take place in the central square of Kamari starting at 21:00. Kamari lies on the east coast of the island, overlooked by the mountain of Ancient Thera.

Cretan traditional music includes instrumental music (generally also involving singing), a capella songs known as therizitika, “Erotokritos”, Cretan urban songs (tabachaniotika), as well as other miscellaneous folk genres.

The event is free to attend.
