The Greek Meteorological Service has issued a weather alert today, Wednesday, February 4, warning of torrential rain, thunderstorms and possible hail tomorrow, which will affect the mainland of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, including the north and eastern Aegean islands.

The strong phenomena will be characterised by south-southwesterly gale-force winds of up to 8 or 9 Beaufort.
