Aggressive Wasps

If you have recently observed an increase in the persistence and aggression of wasps, it is due to the fact that at this time of year, the little critters are getting drunk and they’re not fun drunks either!

As Autumn approaches, wasps become bolder and angrier as they get older and tend to sting more frequently. This is due to the fact that their queens are supplied with enough food, leaving worker wasps redundant, with nothing to do but fly aimlessly around and drink from fermenting fruit. Hence, how they are getting the alcohol!

For information on how to deter their persistence, especially when eating, members can go to the ‘Tips & Advice’ section in their island’s ‘Travel Club’ and check out the article on ‘Simple Wasp Deterrent’. In the ‘Travel Tech’ section, there is also information on Electronic Mosquito Swatters that also work well for wasps.
