One suggested short trip to explore off the island during your stay on Thassos, and you love seafood, is to take the ferry from Thassos Town to the mainland port of Keramoti and dine at Kouzina, regarded as one of the best restaurants in Greece, located on the seafront of Keramoti.
The restaurant co-owned by Nikos Gialantonidis and Thalassinos Gialantonidis this year scooped the “Golden Plate” award from the ‘Greek Taste Beyond Borders’ organisation, as the “Best Fish Restaurant”.
Nikos Gialantonidis was also awarded the title of “Chef of the Year”.
Greek Taste Beyond Borders is an organisation with global action to promote and consolidate Greek gastronomy, Greek taste and gastronomic tourism to Greece.
Ferries from Thassos to Keramoti run every half an hour in the summer until late; however, please check return ferry times before travelling. The ferry journey takes 40 minutes.
