Please be aware that the Police in Greece are strict on ‘Drinking and Driving’!

If you are driving a vehicle, either 4 or 2 wheels, and you are stopped at one of the random checkpoints, or for erratic driving and found to be above the legal limit, you will be arrested, spend a night in a police cell and then be charged.

When temperatures are high and you are enjoying yourself, it is tempting to have that one one extra drink, but take note, not only are the penalties for ‘Drink Driving’ harsh with a fine and expenses of up to 4,000€, 4 months in a Greek jail and your license confiscated, but in addition, your holiday and that of your friends will be ruined.
