During last summer we have been testing a number of hand-held battery-powered electric fans, trying to find one that really does deliver a good cooling effect, but have been disappointed with all until now.

However, we have just completed tests on a product called the EasyAcc. We were pleased to find that this fan really does work very well, both as a hand-held, or free-standing device. The fan has three speeds, with even the slowest delivering a good cooling airstream.

Rechargeable – Powered by a rechargeable 2600mAh battery, the fan is extremely portable as no cable wiring is needed, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Recharges with the provided USB charging cable. Works for 3-10 hours on a full charge, depending on which speed you use.

Portable Fan – With the foldable handle design, it is convenient to hold in the hand when using, or by folding the handle it will stand on a table. Roughly palm-sized, so it easily fits in a beach bag.

Convenient – Most useful to use via battery power, but can also be powered through a USB cable from a laptop, computer, power bank, or other USB-enabled devices.

Adjustable Speed Level – Low-medium-high speed level. Adjust the appropriate fan speed by pressing the power button repeatedly.

Size – 10.5 x 6 x 11cm, weight 81.6g

Two points we should point out. One is that before you can use the fan, you have to remove a small ‘insulator’ tab in the battery compartment (transit safety feature). Second, there is a tiny indicator light next to where the charging cable fits into the device. This is red when charging and turns green when the battery is fully charged.

To sum up, this is the best hand-held fan we have found so far, but please be aware there are some other branded copies, some of dubious quality, flooding the market, so be careful where and which you purchase.
