Android devices

Launch Chrome for Android (web browser) and in the search box type www.atoz-guides.com then when our website’s home page opens, tap the menu button in the top right corner of the Chrome page (three vertical dots) and a menu will open. Scroll down to “Add to Home Screen” and click it. Type ‘A to Z’ in the box provided, then click “ADD” and an icon will be added to the Home Screen of your device. Then for future quick access to this website, just click the icon (Internet connection required).

You can add an icon for our website on other popular Android browsers, for example, on Firefox for Android, tap the menu button, tap the “Page Option”, and tap “Add to Home Screen”.

Apple devices

Launch the Safari browser on Apple’s iOS and navigate to the ‘A to Z’ website’s home page (www.atoz-guides.com). Tap the “Share” button on the browser’s toolbar, that’s the rectangle with an arrow pointing upward. It’s on the bar at the top of the screen on an iPad, and on the bar at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone or iPod Touch. Tap the “Add to Home Screen” icon in the “Share” menu, type ‘A to Z’ in the box provided and then click the “Add” button. An icon will then be added to your Home Screen. For future quick access to this website, just click the icon (Internet connection required).

On both Android and Apple devices the icon can be dragged around and placed anywhere, including in app folders, just like a normal app icon.

Windows 8 devices

The process is similar to above on Windows 8 devices. First, open the ‘A to Z’ website’s home page in Internet Explorer. Tap the More (…) button and tap “Pin to Start” in the menu that appears. Then for future quick access to this website, just click the icon (Internet connection required).

If you have another type of smartphone or tablet, it probably has this feature, too. Just open its browser and look in its menu for an option named something like “Add to Home Screen” or “Pin to Home Screen.”

To remove our website icon from your device’s Home Screen, just long-press the icon and remove it like you would any other app icon.

Please note: When on holiday, for members who would like to gain direct and quick access to the latest news of events and attractions on your particular island, open our website home page on your phone or tablet’s browser and before you create an icon, navigate to the News page for your island via the ‘Travel Club’ menu. Then proceed to create an icon in the browser’s menu as detailed above. Then, when you click the icon, you will be taken directly to your island’s news page (‘A to Z Travel Club’ members will still be able to access all the other website pages for their island via the menu at the top of the page).
