Small Respite Before Further Heat
Tuesday, August 25 – The latest heatwave affecting the country over the last few days is set to peak on Wednesday and Thursday, with many regions across Greece reaching 39/40°C. A brief respite is forecast for Friday and Saturday, as temperatures are expected to drop a little.
However, from Sunday, temperatures are expected to start to rise again, reaching the high 30s once again.
In Northern Greece, temperatures will be slightly lower, at 36-37 degrees, while corresponding values are expected in the Ionian Sea and the eastern Aegean Sea.
The forecast for the first days of September shows that the first days of September are expected to be very warm, as no significant change in the scenery is immediately apparent.
