The largest land border crossing into Greece, Promachonas, which links Bulgaria with Greece, saw 3.25 million travellers cross into Greece during the months of June and July this year, a figure that has doubled since 2022.

The majority of travellers were from Romania.

Greece has land border crossings with Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia, and Turkey, and there are several border crossings between these countries.

Regarding air travel, the Greek Civil Aviation Authority statistics show that the total number of passengers from January to June 2024 was 30.6 million compared to 27.5 million passengers in the same period in 2023, an increase of 11.4%.
