As heat waves in Greece during July and August become more common and, in cases, more severe, personal cooling devices are a great addition to your holiday packing list. One of the latest innovations is Neck Fans.
There are numerous designs on the market, but the best we feel are the devices incorporating “TEC Ice Porcelain Cooling”, employing an advanced semiconductor chip that cools a large aluminium plate to lower body temperature. Thanks to 360° 3D ducting and the cooling plate, you get cooler much quicker. You can pay up to £300 or more for such neck fans, but we decided to check out those at a lower price range available on Amazon and Aliexpress, at a cost that everyone can afford.
The designs we have chosen are equipped with either a 4,000 to 6000 mAh battery. Specified for 5-12 hours of running time, and fully charged in around 3 hours via a USB-C cable, five wind settings and cooling modes provide further dynamic cooling. A great companion in any summer heat, especially for those more susceptible to heat wave conditions.
Ventilation openings on the back with flat air passage specially designed to cool the back and prevent back sweating. Innovative 3D airflow technology, the 6 upwards and 3 downward air paths create a 3D cold air flow that cools your upper body. The turbine AR cold air system with 4 powerful turbo engines delivers 6000 RPM airflow and includes the latest noise reduction technology.
The ergonomic, flexible silicone design and adjustable silicone fit are designed to provide unmatched comfort for any face and neck shape, and only weighing around 300grams. The bladeless neck fan protects from hair getting snagged.
Neck fans of varying designs are available from a number of retailers, but we have chosen similar models that incorporate the latest semiconductor cooling plate technology and have excellent ratings. The first on Amazon at £37.99 + delivery*, the second on Aliexpress at £22.30 incl. delivery*. Although the latter is nearly 50% the Amazon’s cost, please take into account that the delivery time from China is 2 to 4 weeks.
Although we may not be reviewing this model in detail, the Ranvoo AICE4 has been receiving very positive reviews in the media and having now received an AICE4 for our own assessment, we have been extremely impressed with the build quality, styling and the range of features controlled via an app on your phone. The AICE4 is trending at around £140 incl. delivery from Aliexpress, a premium price, but if you are looking for one of the best neck fans available, we would highly recommend it.

One last point to consider, as we approach the summer and holiday season, the prices of these products will likely rise, especially with the increase in exposure that the products are receiving in the media.
