The Hellenic Meteorological Service has issued a warning of storms affecting the north and central regions of the country tomorrow, June 12.

The forecast is for locally heavy rains and thunderstorms, which will be temporarily accompanied by strong winds and the possibility of localised hail.

The storms are expected to affect the north, including the island of Thassos, from late afternoon and through the night into early Saturday morning.

The weather will improve on Saturday to seasonal levels.
