Weather Still Unstable

Temperatures will gradually rise from today, Sunday, June 14, peaking in the mid-30s Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, while from Wednesday onwards, instability is expected to intensify again, especially in the north of the country.

From Wednesday, clouds are expected to increase, bringing showers and thunderstorms, especially in Macedonia and Thrace, which could become intense.

Temperatures will drop slightly, ranging from 30 to 32°C, as the meltemi winds in the Aegean strengthen.

The Meltemi are strong, dry northerly winds that can sweep across the Aegean Sea during the summer. While they bring crisp, clear skies and can break the intense summer heat, they are infamous for occasionally disrupting ferry schedules, sailing trips, and affecting north-facing beaches.
